Physiatry Spine Fellowship at The Spine Center

The New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) Spine Center offers a one-year Physiatry Spine Fellowship. As a fellow, you’ll develop high-level clinical expertise in conservative and interventional spine care. During the fellowship, you’ll gain a clear understanding of the pathology and natural history of spine disorders.

You can expect to develop these and other high-level clinical skills:

  • Execution of an effective treatment plan
  • Interpretation of diagnostic studies
  • Minimally invasive treatment of musculoskeletal conditions
  • Patient assessment strategies

What To Expect

You will evaluate and manage over 1,000 patients under the guidance of spine physiatrists who emphasize the following:

  • Active, patient-oriented treatments
  • Informed decision-making
  • Patient education
  • Spine rehabilitation

During the fellowship, you’ll learn to judiciously use spine interventions. You will perform over 500 spine injection procedures under the close supervision of experienced interventionalists.

Research & Academics

The New England Baptist Hospital Spine Center is committed to multiple academic and research endeavors. We are a major teaching site for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Harvard Medical School. During the fellowship, you are required to actively participate in these academic activities.
