New England Baptist Hospital is committed to being fully transparent when it comes to the cost of treatment. We will provide an estimated cost for your hospitalization within two business days of receiving a request.

Your doctor and New England Baptist Hospital will bill your insurance company on your behalf. Your insurance company may send an Explanation of Benefits (EOB), which will include a summary of charges and what amount (if any) you are responsible to cover.

This is an explanation, not a bill. If you are responsible for the balance, you will be billed by the hospital and/or your physician’s office.

You will receive a bill for hospital charges. All physicians bill separately from the hospital.

This includes charges for consultants, pathologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, attending physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, cardiologists, and durable medical equipment ordered by your physician.

We understand that everyone’s financial situation is different, and we never want finances to stand in the way of you receiving the care you need. We offer patients a range of financial assistance programs to help you cover your payment obligations.

Additionally, we remain committed to your rights as patients in our facilities. Our surprise billing policy details your protections against surprise billing when you receive emergency care or when you are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital.
