Maintaining Motion Spine Program

Ongoing rehabilitation to strengthen your spine

Spine Rehabilitation

If you’re recovering from a spine injury or surgery, you may benefit from the Maintaining Motion Spine Program at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH).

You can enroll in this ongoing therapy once you complete Spine Boot Camp.

The Maintaining Motion Spine Program helps you complete exercises on your own with support from our physical therapy team.

Who Qualifies for Maintaining Motion

If you completed physical therapy in our Spine Boot Camp within the past three months, you can take part in our maintaining motion program. To qualify, you must be free from new or worsening pain.

How the Program Works

Outpatient rehabilitation team members that are specifically trained in our Maintaining Motion Program will lead your sessions.

Before you begin, your assigned trainer will review your:

  • Current health status
  • Goals for your health
  • History since completing the rehab program

Once enrolled, you will complete regular workout sessions with your trainer. You can expect:

  • Equipment and non-equipment workout plans
  • Individual 1:1 sessions
  • 45-minute sessions, held one to two times per week
Restoring Your Spine Motion & Strength

The Maintaining Motion Spine Program builds upon your previous therapy to focus on:

  • Desensitizing the nervous system to reduce your pain
