Spine Rehabilitation
If you’re recovering from a spine injury or surgery, you may benefit from the Continuing Motion Spine Program at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH).
You can enroll in this ongoing therapy once you complete Spine Boot Camp.
The Continuing Motion Spine Program helps you complete exercises on your own with support from our physical therapy team.
If you completed physical therapy in our Spine Boot Camp within the past three months, you can take part in our continuing motion program. To qualify, you must be free from new or worsening pain.
Outpatient rehabilitation team members that are specifically trained in our Maintaining Motion Program will lead your sessions.
Before you begin, your assigned trainer will review your:
- Current health status
- Goals for your health
- History since completing the rehab program
Once enrolled, you will complete regular workout sessions with your trainer. You can expect:
- Equipment and non-equipment workout plans
- Individual 1:1 sessions
- 45-minute sessions, held one to two times per week
Your physical therapist will recommend the type of session — group or individual — that’s best for you.
The Continuing Motion Spine Program builds upon your previous therapy to focus on:
- Desensitizing the nervous system to reduce your pain
- Flexibility and strength training
