Medical Resources and Services
The Woodard Health Sciences Library offers access to current & evidence-based medical literature & serves the educational and research needs of medical, nursing, administrative and allied health staff of New England Baptist Hospital. The library also provides resources to patients and their loved ones. Resources and services include:
- Multiple computer workstations which have Wi-Fi connectivity
- Anatomical models of the joints and full size skeleton
- Access to online and print medical books, journals and databases
- Hands-on computer and Web training and Powerpoint Presentation support
- Guidance in navigating medical, nursing, and patient databases
- Customized library orientations and instruction and outreach
- Literature searches and research
- Continuing medical education records
- Videotaping, editing and AV support
- Lending library of popular books for patients and family
Interlibrary Loan & Document Deliveries
Books & journal articles can be requested. The library provides electronic delivery of resources through email. For an interlibrary loan, please provide the following details:
- Name, department, and contact phone number
- Details about the requested item(s)

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The Library is responsible for the NEBH Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program.
- Plans approximately 100 lectures annually
- Distributes CME records for physicians, and related medical education records for all staff
- Maintains CME resources including physician and professional licensing requirements, archived programs, videotaped conferences, and CME program calendar
