Giving Back: Reddi’s Role on the NEBH Patient & Family Advisory Council

Louise "Reddi" Ford has had her fair share of experience with New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). She is a three-time surgical patient, has undergone non-surgical treatment at the Spine Center, and served as a caregiver for her partner following two major spinal surgeries at NEBH. That's why joining the NEBH Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC) was a natural fit for Reddi.

The PFAC is made up of a diverse group of patients, family members, community representatives, and NEBH employees. Together, members of the council work to bring the perspective of patients and their families into efforts to improve the quality, safety, and overall experience of care.

"I fully respect the goals of the NEBH Patient and Family Advisory Council," says Reddi. "The PFAC members zero in on issues that we have experienced ourselves. Agreeing and working on ways we can make the next patient's experiences even better has been very satisfying."

"NEBH will always be on the tip of my tongue when friends or acquaintances are looking for the right place to seek help with their orthopedic or musculoskeletal issues."
