About Dr. Nairus

Dr. James G. Nairus is an attending orthopedic surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Nairus is a Clinical Instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior to joining NEBH, Dr. Nairus was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and the Chief of the Division of Adult Reconstructive Surgery at University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. Dr. Nairus has lectured at orthopedic conferences and authored numerous works of orthopedic literature. He has been Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons since 2004.

After graduating Cum Laude from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where he was a first team GTE Academic All-American in basketball, Dr. Narius obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship, orthopedic residency and an orthopedic research fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He then completed the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital.

Dr. Narius specializes in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee.
