About Dr. Miley
Dr. Gerald B. Miley’s clinical interests include general rheumatology, bone and joint infectious diseases especially related to artificial joints and osteoporosis which is associated with many rheumatic diseases. He has an established practice in adult rheumatology at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). Dr. Miley has been the president of New England Baptist Health Services, Inc., the Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) for NEBH since 1997. He has been an active member of the Infection Control Committee since 1978 and served as Chairman from 1978-1998.
In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Miley holds an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School as Clinical Instructor in Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a longtime member of several professional societies including Massachusetts Medical Society, New England Rheumatism Association, and the Massachusetts Infections Disease Society.
Dr. Miley has written a number of scientific articles published in journals including New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery.
