New England Baptist Hospital Receives Top Quality and Safety Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
NEBH Earns Five-Out-of-Five-Star Designation from CMS
BOSTON — New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) has received five-out-of-five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its annual quality and safety assessment. Only 12 percent of the over 4,600 hospitals that were assessed nationally received five stars as their Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating.
NEBH has received this recognition for over a decade.
The Overall Hospital Quality Star rating summarizes a variety of measures across five areas of quality into a single star rating for each hospital. The five measure groups include safety, readmission, patient experience, mortality, and timely and effective care.
"Being consistently recognized by CMS with a top ranking is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team,” said Katie Galbraith, MBA, FACHE, Rosenberg Family President, New England Baptist Hospital. “Our clinicians and staff are unwavering in their commitment to safety and to providing legendary service to our patients and their loved ones.”
This data, found under the CMS Hospital Compare tool, is available for consumers to help them compare performance measure information and make informed decisions about where to go for health care.
